Adobe Everywhere with Adobe Creative Cloud review by Dee Marie
with Adobe Creative Cloud

Adobe Creative Cloud is everywhere, which takes the frustration out of having to create for different size deceives (tablets, iPhones, laptops/desktops). Because Adobe is everywhere it also allows you the opportunity to create your design on one device, then sync that design to different devices. For example, if inspiration for an idea hits you when you are away from your computer, you can easily mock-up a design on an Adobe mobile app, and then wirelessly sync it to specific Adobe computer programs such as Photoshop CC 2015, Illustrator CC 2015, and/or InDesign CC 2015.
Designing and sharing your creations across devices is easier now than ever, thanks to Adobe Creative Cloud Libraries and CreativeSync. Not only can you create and share images, but also color palettes, design layouts, brushes, and even character styles. The most exciting part is being able to update an item in your Creative Cloud Libraries … CreativeSync automatically updates the changes in all your shared Adobe Creative Cloud Libraries.
If you are working with a creative team, it gets even better, because you can share projects (for print or Internet use) within your desktop or mobile app from the Creative Cloud Libraries using CreativeSync technology. Your co-creators can make an adjustment (which can be accepted or rejected) and add it to the workflow. Maintaining creative uniformity is a huge time-saver, especially in a complicated layout using specific graphics, color palettes, text and font styles.
As stated above, creating layouts for mobile devices used to be time-consuming for designers, especially with so many variations in device sizes. With the Adobe Comp CC mobile app, you can now begin designing on the go, when the creative inspiration strikes. You can then send your Comp CC design to a desktop workspace like Adobe Photoshop CC 2015, to complete the design process. Again, you can share and collaborate with other team members (or clients) along the way.
Even though you may initially be working on an iPad to create the basis of your project; your pre-design can be as basic as shapes and placeholder text … or a nearly completed design. That is the beauty of CreativeSync and Creative Cloud Libraries, it provides access to your important and most used data: images, fonts, text, and more. If you prefer to just sketch an idea for a design in Adobe Comp CC, you can then wirelessly send your design to Photoshop CC 2015, and continue the creative process, with the new Artboards feature.
The Photoshop CC 2015 Artboards is an outstanding new concept to efficiently create a series of user-friendly designs across diverse platforms, or create your own custom sizes. It allows the designer to repeat a basic design, while adding new features and functions to each consecutive Artboard. You can then view multiple layout images side-by-side, to get a feel of how the design would appear in an actual mobile app.
After you have shared your design with co-workers, or clients, and everyone is satisfied, you can sync the design from Photoshop CC 2015 to the Adobe Preview CC mobile app, and view how a mobile design will appear in the device you created it for. Then go back to Adobe Photoshop CC 2015, and export your Artboard created design to your app developer.
You can use a similar procedure when creating responsive websites by starting a design in Adobe Comp CC. Then send the basic design to Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 to work further on the website pre-design layout.
Each design component created in the Comp CC mock-up is fully editable on its own layer when it opens in Photoshop CC 2015. This is where the magic continues. You can work on each layer, from text to background colors, to image resizing and placements. Plus you can view and readjust the design to fit various formats.
Taking the Photoshop pre-design to new lengths is easy and fun. You can add and manipulate images licensed from Adobe Stock, and/or any image from your Creative Cloud Library. Share your ideas with clients or teammates is a lot easier when you first have the basics designed in Photoshop … before exporting your nearly completed project into Dreamweaver CC 2015.
After you have exported the pre-designed Artboards, you can tweak your design even more inside Dreamweaver CC 2015. Then within Dreamweaver’s interactive Live View continue to design, edit, and preview your design over a multitude of devices.
Adobe Creative Cloud allows you to take your imagination as far as it will go … then Adobe gives you the tools to push your creative limits even further.
